These terms apply to purchases and commissions from SoulWoods, a woodworking studio in Huntertown, Indiana, through soulwoods.co. By placing an order or paying a deposit, you agree to them.
Orders and pricing
- Prices are in U.S. dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where required, including 7% Indiana sales tax on orders shipped to Indiana addresses.
- Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay.
- We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a price was listed in error. If we do, you’ll receive a full refund.
Made-to-order pieces and lead times
Most pieces are built after you order. Lead times shown on the site are estimates; if your piece will take longer, we’ll let you know. Photos show representative pieces, and because every board is different, your piece will vary in color, grain and figure.
Custom commissions
- Commissions begin with a conversation, followed by a design and a quote. Work begins once you approve them.
- Deposits are applied to your final balance. The remaining balance is invoiced through a secure payment link before your piece ships.
- Changes requested after approval may affect price and timing; we’ll confirm any changes with you first.
Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card or bank details.
Shipping and delivery
Orders ship to the address you provide at checkout. Please double-check it; we aren’t responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address you entered. Pickup in the Huntertown area may be available by arrangement.
Returns and refunds
Returns, cancellations, damaged items and deposits are covered by our Refund and Returns Policy.
Care and use
Wood is a natural material. Follow the care instructions provided with your piece. Isolation feet and other third-party products are covered by their manufacturers’ warranties.
Designs and photos
SoulWoods designs, photos and site content belong to SoulWoods. Please don’t reproduce them without permission. We may photograph finished commissions for our portfolio; if you’d prefer we don’t share photos of your piece, just tell us.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We aren’t responsible for indirect or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted when you place your order applies to that order.
